Will you get a fair claim settlement?

By admin • August 27th, 2011

If your home or personal property is damaged and you file a claim with your insurance company, the claim adjuster will ask for an itemized listing of the lost or damaged property, including the value of each item, and pictures if they exist.  Would you remember everything you had, if this happened to you?  How would you prove what they are worth?

The time to take action is before, not after, something happens.  A property inventory includes photos and descriptions of all your property, with values and other detailed information.  It is stored on a CD, which you can keep in a safe deposit box or other safe location.  If you ever need it, your claim will be much fairer and faster, because  you already have recorded the information the insurance company needs to come up with the amount it will pay.

A property inventory can make thousands of dollars’ difference in a claim settlement!
